Tangled

With Fall in the air, my creative juices always start flowing more than any other time of the year! So hopefully I'll be having more frequent posts for you all.

Until then, here is a doodle I did of an octopus.

Enjoy :)

What I've been up to!

It's been a while since I've update, I've been busy-busy, but I have been making some artwork along the way and I figured I'd share!

(I apologize, all of the photos where taken on my phone!)
Sketchbook-pencil and paper
I've been really into drawing bears, apparently!

I also painted an orange elephant, I took a few photos of the progress, it's still not finished yet!

Oil on wood
And lastly I had a friend get a hold of me to do a painting for his girlfriend, he suggested painted the eiffel tower, so that's what I did! (pretty much done at this point, I added a few more details after I took this picture)

Oil on wood

And that's what I've been doing to keep sane ;)
Hope you guys are enjoying your summer!

It's getting Beary warm!

Two days ago it was 70 degrees here in Maine, FINALLY.
I spent most of my day outside and some parts of it I spent drawing.
So I give you a doodle of a bear that I drew :)

I has a sleepy boy.

Kevin finally got home from tour after a 13 hour drive from New York.
Since he's been home he's done three staple things.

  • shower
  • cook bacon
  • sleep

Poor guy is wiped, I don't dare to wake him up, it's about 6 pm here and he's snoring away.
He leaves again tomorrow for their date at Metal Fest on thursday in MA.
Although he was upset about having to come back to switch over the RV for their tour van, I'm secretly glad he came back so the month doesn't seem as long.
But shhhh ;)

Spring time! Happy, Bright and Bees!

Today was gorgeous outside, well gorgeous for Maine standards and for it being March.
I planted my butt out on the porch for the morning sipping my iced coffee and stumbling through the internet.
But before you judge me sitting outside, "enjoying" the weather on the internet, I will tell you that later in the day I went out for a hike, and that I was waiting for my friends to pack up their car and head over my house.

Just after deciding to get up to make sure my nikon battery was charged I heard this "bzzz'd"near my left ear, but it stopped as abruptly as it started. I looked over my shoulder in horror to find a bee sitting on my shoulder.

It's funny that after 6 months (or so it feels like) of cold weather, I forgot how to deal with bees. So I just stood there, ducking down and hoping it would fly away, but it just sat there, not moving. I ran up to the nearest window to look at my reflection to see what it was up to. I finally decided I was going to "shoo" it away. I pulled up my hoodie to bump it off and it flew toward my face so I screamed and ran inside, immediately asking my father to check me from head to toe for a bee.

I can deal with most insects, spiders, ants etc. But bees are not my friend.
Here's hoping to a bee free/ sting free spring and summer!
